If anyone wanted my opinion, of all the Cameron Mitchell restaurants sprinkled around Columbus, Cap City Fine Diner is by far my favorite, with staple dishes that are fan-favorites in the Columbus food scene.

I’m assuming because it’s such a popular restaurant, is the reason they just opened the third location in Columbus. Grandview, Gahanna and now open in Dublin at Bridge Park.

Classic comfort food, there is something for everyone on Cap City’s menu. My Dad always gets the meatloaf. You can’t walk in the door without ordering the blue-cheese chips. And I am not sure if I’ve ever had an entree other than the pecan crusted pork chops. Really, I even told the manager why touring the restaurant I was really wanting to try the salmon and the shrimp & grits, but when I went it came time to order I was so afraid I’d have food regret if the pork chops didn’t come out with my name on them. I really do want those shrimp & grits!

My parents, Evelyn and I hit happy hour on a Tuesday then stayed after for dinner. We had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The staff went above and beyond to make our entire visit the best it could be. Food and drink was delicious as always, and the patio outside, my favorite part, created the perfect atmosphere for a family dinner.

Thanks to Cameron Mitchell Restaurants for having us out to enjoy the new location. It isn’t often we all get to have dinner, Cap City is the perfect place to get the whole family together for a great meal.
