I got the awesome opportunity to enjoy breakfast at the newly renovated Columbus Downtown, Hilton Hotel. Tucked inside of the modernly restored hotel is the Gallerie Bar & Bistro. I absolutely fell in love with the bright and trendy atmosphere. Everywhere you look there is an amazing piece of art that captures your attention. I instantly started dreaming of the wonderful stay-cations and girls weekends that could be had within these walls. {Scroll down for a glimpse at the luxurious indoor pool.}
I knew instantly just from the decor, we were in for a delicious meal!

It was a Friday morning and I did have work to do, but how can I truly evaluate a brunch service if I don’t try a bloody Mary?
To be fair I did have water, coffee and a bloody Mary. It’s called balance.
The bloody was delicious and necessary. And I recommend, but there is never a time in life I will not recommend a bloody Mary.
Granola Yogurt Parfait
Fresh mint, berry compote.
This is the story of my life…
I am invited to Gallerie Bar & Bistro to try their world famous chicken & waffles. I’ve heard it’s amazing, life changing. When it comes time to order, out of my mouth comes, “I’ll have an omelette.” I order my omelette and listen to everyone else order chicken and waffles, as I watch the waitress walk away I instantly begin to feel the food regret and know in the pit of my stomach I’ve ordered the wrong thing and I’ll spend the rest of the breakfast knowing in my soul that my breakfast could have been better.
Who orders an omelette when you’re there for chicken and waffles. Only me.
I have to admit, my made-to-order omelette, aspragus, bacon and hash browns which were really delicious, crispy potatoes wedges, were amazingly good and I enjoyed every single bite. But the chicken and waffles still looked better.
Keep scrolling, you’ll see what I mean!
Behold, the best chicken and waffles in Columbus.
That I did not order.
I did get to try them and they were as scrumptious as they look.
I cannot wait to return specifically for the chicken and waffles, only.
I’m actually sitting here thinking, we have no plans this weekend, maybe a brunch date is in order!
Huevos Ranchos
Egg whites or free-range eggs with grilled onions, peppers, asparagus, avocado, roasted tomatoes, fines herbs, goat cheese, green tomatillo salsa.
Another honorable mention I saw on the menu that I must also return to try, the Nutella stuffed french toast with candied bacon. I am not making this up, this actually exists on a menu, in Columbus! It really does sound to good to be true, so I will report back once I have indulged my gluttony.

It wouldn’t be brunch if EatPlayCbus and I didn’t take an awkward picture pretending we are cute.
Behold, the indoor pool.
That will round out my stay-cation and girls weekend dreams.
The mural in the bar was simply, ahhhhhhhhhhhhmazing!
It’s a local artist and I forget all of the details that make it more interesting, but I of course, had to get a selfie in front of it.
So many fun details at the Hilton Columbus Downtown Hotel.
