Hide Away in Ohio’s Hills

A weekend away was just what Basic Columbus needed. Spent with good friends, deepening relationships, laughing until we cried, eating until we couldn’t fit another bite in and drinking until we were all lushes. It was a HOT couple of days in the hill’s of Ohio so most of our time was spent in the water floating and hydrating.
Emphasis on hydrating with some of the best brews and views around!
Rednecks Welcome!
Tucked back into the private community of Hide-Away- Hills in Sugar Grove, Ohio it provides exactly what one needs in a weekend escape.
Megan from EatPlayCbus one of our favorite Columbus Blogs and Bloggers brought her A-game when she showed up with a bottle of champagne that was bigger than the man-eating spider I saw earlier in the day.
Nothing like floating and drinking with your Besties!
By the end of the weekend we ended up calling Liaylah, ‘The Leach.’
She spent more time in the water than anyone.
Boys vs. Girls, Intense Flip-Cup
The boys got these blackberries at a local Farmer’s Market when they ran to the gas station to get more ice and beer. I threw some in with our daiquiris we whipped up, SO GOOD! I will be doing that pro move from now on. I also used mango rum and raspberry vodka in the daiquiris, if anyone is interested.
Just call me bartender Lindsey connoisseur, they were ahhhhhhhhhhhhhmazing.
Aunt Hanna
My favorite beer right now. It’s all sandy because I was trying to get the perfect shot of it by the water so I moved a log by the water….. WHY DID I MOVE THAT LOG?!?!?!?!?!
A man-eating spider the size of my head was below it and sent me screaming hence the sand covered Dodo.
Drinks of Choice:

Kid’s favorite part about the lake is the rules. Because there are NO RULES!
