This is My Year

What do you think?
Do you love the updates as much as I do? I am literally obsessed with a City Explored’s new face lift! It was very much needed, as my other site, hosted through blogger, where Basic Columbus was started, was, well basic.
I’m switched over to WordPress and feel like an official blogger with a menu bar and linked social media icons! It really is the little things in life.
This new blog look feels so personally exciting, coming almost exactly on my one year anniversary of blogging and what a year it has been! You can see my very first blog post from May 8, 2016 HERE.
It really is amazing to look back on a year of changes and see how many amazing people I have met, new things I have gotten to try and taste and how much personal growth I’ve experienced through the ups and down of 365 days.
I’ve said it before as 2017 kicked off and my 33rd Birthday rolled around in March, this is my year! {See shirt}.
I think I’m finally starting to get the hang of what is takes to be successful in the blogging world, I’ve started to carve out a little niche of my own and after a year of struggling to balance the demands of being a single Mom, trying to get a small side business up and running, while blogging consistently…. I think I can finally say we are starting to find our routine and stride!
I see a lot of excitement. fun and happiness in the future for my little family and career, finally!

As the blog was getting it’s final touches yesterday, I was meeting with a new client. Client you say, you didn’t know I had clients? What kind of clients? All fair and good questions.
When I started blogging, you quickly learn that social media is a sink or swim must. In order to be successful, really with anything not just blogging, you have to have a strong social media presence. A lot of people either have no idea what they are doing when it comes to social media, they don’t have the interest in it or they simply don’t have the time to keep up with it. That’ where I come in, I love social media and consider myself to be somewhat of an expert when it comes to content creating, hashtags and overall influence of the power that has become social media.
I found pretty immediately when I became immersed in the blogging and social influence world that there was a big need for experts like myself, to come in and take the reigns.
Yesterday I signed my second client! My first is a fabulous software company based right here in Columbus, Ohio. Software Verde creates custom software that creates solutions using technology. They are an awesome group of guys and I have loved getting to work with them. Make sure you find us on social media!
My official second client, Salumi Couture is about to blow the top off the charcuterie world! Delicious and divine, Salumi Couture is a one of a kind, high quality and hand made, cured Italian meats. Coppa, pancetta, prosciutto, a unique line of salumes already being served in some of Columbus’ best restaurants!

I’m starting their social media today, so be prepared to be stalked by the  couture pig lady everybody!

To say the least, it’s been an exciting week!

Not sure what I ever did before Nursah?!
